Necromus is the first half of the duo Knights of Legend, specifically the Dark Knight of Legend. This late-game Pal is absolutely devastating in combat but is just as useful as a mount, too. Necromus can jump twice when mounted, and a double jump is extremely helpful while traversing and exploring.

Some are better on water but can also be used on land for less efficiency — with the main difference being that they will not sink in deep water like land mounts. Land mounts excel on land but fall short in every other category. In contrast, flying mounts are best in the air but tend to be a bit slower to balance out the ability to overcome pe

It doesn't have much coverage, only learning Dark Skills, but it learns the essential Dark Skills and hits like a truck, so it's hardly an issue.

Though flying mounts are a bit easier to use regarding transportation, they come with slight drawbacks. The first is that their saddles are locked until the middle of the game.
