Group bosses are now easier in Elden Ring due to changes in the behaviors of the group bosses. With patch 1.04, the boss who isn't the primary attacker in a group boss fight will be less aggressive and do more standing back. The other change is that fewer bosses can be considered the primary attacker, so the player will have more breathing room in these fights because they aren't being constantly attacked. Not all of the group bosses received these changes, so the nerf wasn't done across the board. Why the developers didn't include changes to some boss AIs in the patch notes for 1.04 remains unkn
This isn't a story about how the House of Wise Stress Tincture suddenly put me in that zone - things don't usually work that way. I did take the first dose around the time I restarted my Pathologic 2 save file yet again, and replaying through the tutorial felt just as tedious then as it did before, but I was also able to power through it. Was it because of the CBD drops? Maybe. Was it because it's a really good game and something inside me finally realized that, or at least wanted to push through to see if everyone else who said that were actually right? Also possi
What doesn't leave a person with a feeling of peace, however, is the difficulty spike in Elden Ring once a player reaches the Mountaintop of the Giants . It was annoying on the game's first playthrough and it was still annoying in New Game Plus, but after a while - and after eating a few pieces of chocolate - I realized that I wasn't getting as frustrated as I had the first time. Some enemies still seemed overly powerful and dying occurred more often than was necessary, but it seemed to me that I was getting less irritated this time around. Even repeatedly grinding for runes on that ledge near the Lord of Blood (no shame in wanting to get that Int up for Comet Azure) didn't feel as repetitive. Was I zoning out, was I in a groove, or was the CBD actually help
Finally, there are three schools of Faith-based magic left in Elden Ring , and each of them finds its source in a different Outer God. The first, Blood magic, derives its power from the Formless Mother. Many of the Blood incantations require the caster to literally obtain blood from the Formless Mother's body via magic to then attack opponents with it. Though the Formless Mother is the source of power for these incantations, it is Mogh the Lord of Blood who discovered them and enables his servants to use t
I tried to restart from the beginning of the game but bounced off about ten minutes into Pathologic 2's intro on two different occasions. I wasn't able to get back into it at first, and there's likely a lot of reasons for this. I was playing it wrong. Pathologic 2 didn't explain itself to me. The introduction is far too long. I wasn't paying enough attention to my actions because I was treating it like a video game. I was choosing dialog haphazardly. I wasn't judging whether or not the people I talked to in the game world actually had my best interests at heart. I wasn't focusing on being Artemy. I was stressing out about the wrong meters. I wasn't in the z
The Fire Monks, whether fellow exiles in the Mountaintops or willful followers of the fell god, battled alongside Fire Giants in their war against Marika. In the process, they became obsessed with the flame of this fell god. Having gotten more control of the flame, they developed the Fire Monk incantations that derive their power from the same source as the Fire Giants in Elden Ri
Indeed, Ranni shares a lot with the Nox people. The Nox strangely have a great admiration for the stars despite living deep beneath the ground. However, this affinity makes sense when visiting either Nokron of Nokstella, as their false skies glitter with stars. Even the large, scorpion-skeleton hybrid creatures who use Gravity Sorceries in these locations are called "Malformed Stars." This calls to Ranni's goal in creating an Age of Stars in which the Greater Will is replaced with the Dark Moon and the Outer Gods are kept away from the Lands Between. Thus, stars play an important role in both Ranni's and Nox's mission, which are already similar in their
The story of Radahn's scourging of the stars seems to have been washed out by the timeline of Elden Ring at release , however. Radahn was infected with the Scarlet Rot by Malenia in their battle, which has since driven him to insanity. Now the once great battler of the stars and his long, complex history have been reduced to nothing, as Radahn only worries about where his next meal will come from and which Tarnished will challenge him next. However, the meteor that crashes into Limgrave after his defeat by the Tarnished shows that beneath Radahn's animalistic exterior exists a fierce defender of the Lands Between from extraterrestrial bei
The Golden Order incantations of Lightning weakness Elden Ring Ring both protect its members while also being literal declarations of the Order's faith. Many of the spells are its fundamental rules, like Law of Regression and Law of Causality . However, some other spells like Radagon's Rings of Light highlight that some of the institution's spells are solely offensive and unrelated to its philosophy (although this spell was created by Miquella and not the Greater Wi
