One of the more stressful aspects of combat in Black Myth: Wukong is having to manage your health in longer boss fights so The Destined One can stay alive longer than his adversaries. This is why having abilities and passives that automatically heal you can be the difference between a successful run or fail
By the time you've made considerable progress in Black Myth: Wukong best Weapons you'll have realised that with well-timed strong attacks you are able to throw enemies out of their patterns and interrupt what could be a deadly attack - this is called 'seeing through' an en
This is an enhanced version of the Blood Darts attack. Towards the end of this move, the boss will smack his staff on the ground, unleashing a huge shockwave of blood in a large AOE . This attack will clear most of the blood that’s splattered on the ground.
There are also a total of three Lesser Rats in the area. Two of them can be defeated before the fight begins. The third Lesser Rat is difficult to find, and it may randomly start attacking you during your fight with the Gore-Eye Daoist. If you’re caught getting attacked by the third Lesser Rat during the fight, focus on killing it first as it doesn’t have a lot of HP.
However, the best reward is the Luojia Fragrant Vine , which can be acquired after defeating the mini-boss. This item, when brought to the Shen Monkey, allows the Destined One to increase the amount of sips available from the Gourd.
The staff that you will likely put the most work into obtaining and crafting is the Golden Loong Staff , which requires completion of a multi-stage quest that lasts all the way from the first chapter to the fou
After you drain his health bar, a cutscene triggers Phase 2 of the fight where the Whiteclad Noble reveals his true serpent form. This transformation makes him even more agile and dangerous, plus gives him a whole new health bar.
DON'T try to immobilize and stagger him when he is preparing to perform one of his big attacks. You won't be able to stagger him, you'll just eat the attack once he unfreezes. He is very hard to stagger in general, and I was never able to knock him out of one of his big attacks. Additionally, standing on top of your pole isn't going to help you avoid much. Don't get cute and try it. Just circle him and get to his back!
The best way to deal with this attack is to immobilize the boss during the attack’s animation. If you don’t wanna do that, you’ll have to get far away from it , so that you’re out of range of the blood shockwave. You can also avoid this attack by dodging, but the timing is strict.
As well as allowing you to upgrade your armor, you can also challenge this tiger to a fight to unlock his transformation. He's a tough optional boss to take down, especially considering his small boss arena, but once you get to control his heaving sword for yourself, it's all worth
If you've left the boss arena without collecting the Earth Wolf's Spirit and don't find it upon your return, then don't worry. You simply need to rest at a Keeper's Shrine , where you'll find the option to retrieve its Spirit .
Like many Spirits, the Earth Wolf's Spirit has both an active and passive ability. Equipping it increases your Focus buildup with each attack, while its Wild Rapture skill lets you take its form, charging recklessly at enemies and staggering them in the process.
As you are laying the smackdown on his butt, he will likely turn to face you mid-combo. Once he is facing you, he'll either try to crush you with a palm slam or smack you with a backhand. However, both of these attacks have notable tells, look for them, dodge through them, and then get behind him again.
As for the Earth Wolf's attacks , most are relatively straightforward to dodge as they have a long wind up. Your only concern, however, should be the grab attack , as it can cause a lot of hurt to the Destined One.
The Whiteclad Noble's Phase 2 sees him retain many of his previous attack patterns, but with some key changes. His water-wave projectiles are now more targeted towards you, though less frequent than before. He still uses his jumping charge thrust, but now his snake body powers his leap. Put simply, he is more powerful and his attacks have a long reach, making them difficult to dodge.
There is such a massive variety of different options and abilities for switching up combat in Black Myth: Wukong that it's easy to forget that one of the simplest ways to get stronger is to upgrade your choice of wea
Since Whiteclad Noble has quick movements, you’ll need to rely on the Immobilize control spell, which freezes him in place and gives you an opening to get a few attacks in. As such, invest as many Sparks as you can into the Immobilize spell. Consider investing points in the Stagnation Mysticism, as it can extend the duration of your immobilizing spell and give you more time to attack the Whiteclad Noble.
If the roar catches you, it’s not a major concern; however, you’ll know the Earth Wolf is about to use this move when it performs a swirling backstep . Use this opportunity to run away and avoid the attack.
