Start this Last Wish raid encounter by dividing into two teams of three, and have one team travel left and the other right. Standing on the three glowing plates on each side will start the encounter, dropping all Guardians down past Riven. Follow the pathway through the respective side's door until two new chambers are reached. One of two things will happen in these chambers, either Riven will show her head, or Taken enemies will have to be defeated. When both Confluxes are finally filled, the Sanctified Mind in Destiny 2 will spawn either a red or blue oracle, indicating which Conflux needs to be tethered from. One teammate will have to shoot the Conflux to activate the tether, and depending on the distance an additional two or three teammates will need to tether together back to the oracle that was created first. Afterward, the Sanctified Mind can be damaged. He will walk around briefly and will lift into the air exposing his central critical area. The next three Trivial Mysteries need to be completed after the second Beacon is aligned, but before heading through the Taken portal to the boss fight. The Conflux Team will have two objectives, the primary is to defend the Conflux while the secondary is to repair the arena. Every time a Vex sacrifices itself on a Conflux the Conflux will lose motes, even if the Conflux was previously full. If this happens, the team will not be able to make full use of the damage phase. It's best if the Conflux Team puts one member at each Conflux, and floats around to assist as need be with long-range capable weapons like Destiny 2 's Darkest Before Pulse Rifle . Additionally, a part of the arena will be destroyed every time the Sanctified Mind has a part shot off. When enough parts of the arena have been destroyed, both members of the Conflux team can regroup to form a quick tether and repaid that section. One member will shoot the Conflux, the Conflux will tether to them, they'll tether to the second teammate, and the second teammate tethers to a structure that repairs the arena (the structure looks like a barrier door lock from the very first encount
The damage phase is when the Fireteam no longer has the three teams of two. Instead, everyone should have a given area that they're in to ensure the tether connects correctly. It's entirely possible for the tether to connect to the wrong people, or not even cause the oracle to explode. If the tethered oracle does not explode it's because at least one Vex was able to sacrifice on that Conflux, causing it to lose a mote. Unfortunately, the team will lose out on this damage phase.
