Defeat all of the lesser taken enemies in the throne room, or as many as possible, before Riven shows up. She will once again use her tentacle and fire-breathing attacks, but using a weapon like the Null Composure Fusion Rifle will get her to stop quickly. Continue to attack her until she flinches and shows her two glowing eyes. Two at a time, Riven will eventually show six different glowing eyes in total. While the Conflux Team hunts for motes, the Boss Team will be following the Consecrated Mind. It will head down one of those four paths, Front, Back, Left, or Right. Once it reaches the end, the Consecrated Mind will create the Voltaic Overflow effect. In anticipation of this, each team member from the Boss Team needs to have a designated starting and rotational position, and here's why. When the Consecrated Mind creates the Voltaic Overflow effect it will always spawn it in the center. That first center-teammate grabs the effect, and when the Consecrated Mind flashes lights the affected teammate will be able to see either the outer circles or inner circles light up red. The other two Destiny 2 Guardians see both sets of lights, so it's up to the Voltaic Overflow teammate to communicate "inner" or "outer" for the correct lights to shoot. After Riven flinches, she will leave the first chamber and head to the second. The team that just flinched her will have to complete the Eye of Riven taken puzzle, while the second team fighting her must damage her and shoot the appropriate eyes. The Conflux Team will have two objectives, the primary is to defend the Conflux while the secondary is to repair the arena. Every time a Vex sacrifices itself on a Conflux the Conflux will lose motes, even if the Conflux was previously full. If this happens, the team will not be able to make full use of the damage phase. It's best if the Conflux Team puts one member at each Conflux, and floats around to assist as need be with long-range capable weapons like Destiny 2 's Darkest Before Pulse Rifle . Additionally, a part of the arena will be destroyed every time the Sanctified Mind has a part shot off. When enough parts of the arena have been destroyed, both members of the Conflux team can regroup to form a quick tether and repaid that section.
