"The concept for LambdaGeneration was simple - we wanted to create a site that would share all of the amazing fan content the Half-Life universe connections and Valve community make," Alex says." At the time, most Valve fansites were focused on official news and there weren’t any news sites dedicated to things made by the community. I remember being frustrated seeing some really cool stuff scattered around various forums just going unnoticed, and I wanted to fix that.
I would love to see a refresh or a next installment of Counter-Strike . I played a metric ton of the game in it's heyday, and the fact that it still thrives online via Steam should be a tell-tale hint that a sequel would be nothing short of a rock-solid i
For example, when Tyloo started making its way to major tournaments, most teams played a slow and methodical version of Counter-Strike: GO , with the likes of Navi waiting until 30 seconds or less to execute onto a site. Tyloo, being based in Asia, played in a scrim-like style that was customary for their region, moving at a much faster pace than most top teams were used to seeing and catching them off guard. Soon after, you saw legendary teams like Liquid adopting some elements of Tyloo's playstyle into their own, helping them to eventually earn the top spot as the best t
As for 2012, well, anyone who knows me well knows that I'm a Metro 2033 fanboy, so my most anticipated title is Metro: Last Light . I'm also a huge fan of Yakuza 3 meaning I'm stoked for Yakuza: Dead Souls , not to mention BioShock Infinite , Prey 2 , Alan Wake: Night Springs , Binary Domain , and Operation Raccoon City as my first Resident Evil game, not to mention I have a nice shiny PlayStation Vita First Edition bundle with my name on it. I also plan to play Mass Effect 3 but I'm trying to keep my hype meter low for that
If, as rumors suggest, Valve goes ahead with franchising, changes need to be made to current models in order to ensure the game's success. Rather than have buy-ins, Valve should institute a format that is like most majors for the inaugural season and allow teams to compete against one another to earn a spot in the league. They could use the same tournaments and assign points to each, which would then help to determine who would move into the lea
In just one week, the LambdaGeneration social network has amassed 1,000 users - and that number is still growing. This includes fans, creators, developers, and the staff keeping the cogs whirring. The site fills a gap in the Valve community, something in between archaic forums and the more meme-heavy Reddit. There are pages for news, modding, fan art, films, music, and lore, letting you find whatever you want with ease. Otherwise, you can sort by trending, new, and top. There are user profiles, badges, and more, combining the best elements of different social media sites to create a Valve-centric juggernaut.
December is relax time for me. It's the first month in a while where I play games for fun instead of for review purposes. I plan to journey on in my restart of Skyrim on PC and make time to catch up on a large pile of games, including Saints Row: The Third, Battlefield 3 (PC) and Forza Motorsport 4 while making sure I begin Arkham City, Assassin's Creed Revelations and Uncharte

Despite the sheer depth in terms of lore and mechanics, Destiny 2 remains quite a friendly choice when it comes to newcomer accessibility. Since its release, recent Destiny 2 changes finally gave players a free-to-play option, allowing newcomers to give the game a shot while locking its deeper features, content, stages, and stories behind purchases of DLCs and Expansi
However, this wouldn't been applicable if time completely stopped in Superhot . Instead, time moves at an extremely slow pace when players are standing, meaning that a bullet coming towards them can still hit them if they take too much time to aim — something that won't happen if players use a mouse and keyboard inst
While the qualifying stage is difficult, it gives smaller teams like CR4ZY a large amount of exposure and allows them to compete with the best teams in the world. If CS:GO were to franchise, teams like Crazy would never have the chance to play on the biggest stage as the buy-in amount would be too expensive for most young teams. We would be left with the same 16-20 teams every year, each trying to outdo the other and each taking away young talent from teams who don't have the funds to compete. Sure, there would be upsets, but nothing like what was there before. Each year there's a team that comes out of nowhere to shock the CS:GO world and that's part of what makes big tournaments so much fun to wa

Players new to the FPS scene would likely have heard of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds , especially with how it spearheaded the popularity of battle royale games out there. However, newcomers lacking the fidelity needed for PUBG might not be able to enjoy the full experience. Thankfully, devs at Tencent make this possible with PUBG Mobi
